Department: Education and Health Admin. Dept. Salary/Rate: $18.92 p/hour FTE: 0.5 FTE Position Summary: The Administrative Program Specialist for Education is the specialist for the Educational Licensure program and provided administrative support to Division director and division. Must be able to work independently and have the ability to coordinate/collaborate effectively across departments and divisions. Minimum Classification Qualifications: Two years of experience as an administrative specialist or executive support specialist which included administrative support for a project, program, or operation. Administrative support includes those duties beyond clerical/secretarial such as: interpretation of laws, rules, and regulations; administrative data collection and analysis; and evaluation of projects, processes, and operations; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience. One year of postsecondary education may be substituted for up to one year of the experience. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience providing Licensure support for an Education program. Bachelors or Masters in Education Experience with FIS Banner. All Listed Duties: Licensure Specialist: · Serves as a resource to students and faculty regarding Oregon Administrative Rules and TSPC requirements and processes governing teacher licensing requirements. · Oversees pre-service fingerprint-based criminal background review process required by Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC). · Confirms FBI and Oregon State Police character clearance of each program participant prior to student's beginning fieldwork. · Tracks
