Adjunct Faculty Position in Stem Cell Biology and Bioengineering

The UCLA Department of Neurology in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA invites applications for an Adjunct faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. We are particularly interested in candidates who will be able to combine stem cell biology and bioengineering for the purposes of understanding basic stem functions and exploring translational approaches to stem cell therapeutics. The individual will be associated with the Broad Stem Cell Research Center.  This faculty member is expected to secure extramural funding, lead basic science or translational research program of high caliber, and participate in the training of graduate students, medical students, and post-doctoral fellows.

Qualifications:

Applications are welcomed from those with doctoral degrees (PhD, MD, or equivalent) who have experience in stem cell research of biomedical engineering.

The posted UC salary set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnelprograms/files/apm/apm-670.pdf), which provides for eligibility for additional compensation beyond this base salary.
