The Division of Nephrology & Hypertension at Oregon Health & Science University provides consultative and follow-up care for patients with all types of kidney disease and hypertension. Our faculty and staff actively participate in the full range of academic activities: basic science research, clinical research, and teaching.
The Division of Nephrology & Hypertension at Oregon Health & Science University is looking for a Senior Research Assistant to help support several industry sponsored clinical trials and investigator initiated studies.
The Senior Research Assistant..
Has a lead role in the oversight of research staff , volunteer duties, and assists with research assistant training.
Contributes to process developement to improve the administrative research operations
Responsible for start up, pre study/award, in-study, post study/award, and termination.
Participates in patient assessment for protocol eligibility, counseling and consenting of patients & treatment plan coordinatoion
Patient education and correspondence
Maintenance and preparation of quality assurance audits
Submits and maintains compliance materials
Bachelors Degree with major courses in field of research and 1 to 3 years of relevant experience , OR AA/RN (2 yr) and 3 years of relevant experience
Working knowledge of medical terminology
Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Microsoft Word & Excel)
Bachelor's Degree with major courses in the field of research is preferred
Relevant experience with industry sponsored clinical trials and clinical research
Familiarity of health record and research database systems
Ability to keep clear, accurate and precise written and electronic documentation
Ability to work at a computer for up to four hours at a time
Ability to attend research studies and meetings
Ability to work remotely for multiple days per week
Environmental exposures include working with lab reagents, human tissues (blood and saliva), and general patient contact
