The Division of Arthritis and Rheumatic Diseases at Oregon Health & Science University is a group of academic physicians, allied health professionals and nurse practitioners specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of the full spectrum of rheumatic disorders.
The Division of Arthritis andd Rheumatic Diseases at OHSU is looking for a research assistant to serve as the primary coordinator of it's clinical trial activity, as directed by the primary investigator (PI).
Responsible for patient assessment for protocal eligibility
Counseling patients regarding study schemes
Tracking patient visits
Coordination of follow-up care and liaison between patients and other research members
Maintenance and preparation of quality assurance audits
Working with healthcare professionals to review patient charts for collecting data and to obtain research specimens for labratory analysis
Reviewing patient charts for collecting data for prospective and retrospective studies
A Bachelors Degree with major courses in field of research OR an Associates Degree and 3 years of related experience
Must have excellent communication and organization skills
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Outlook, and Excel)
Ability to multitask and work independently
A Bachelors Degree with major courses in the field of research
Prior research experience at a university
Knowledge of phlebotomy and basic clinical examination & vital signs
