The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Pritzker Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago are seeking an Infant/Early Childhood pediatric psychologist to join a multi-disciplinary team in the Pritzker Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health in a nationally ranked, free-standing children’s hospital located on the medical school campus. Duties are primarily to : 1) conduct developmental assessments in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Follow-up Outpatient Clinic primarily of preschool age children. Opportunities to assess infants and toddlers may also be present; 2) provide psycho-social support and interventions to families and staff in a busy Level IV inpatient Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; 3) provide intervention in the outpatient Little Ones clinic to infants, toddlers and preschoolers; 4) teaching and supervision in multidisciplinary child health and mental health training programs; and 5) designing and collaborating in research

Clinical experience with infants, toddlers and preschool age children and families is required, and specialized training and experience in Infant Mental Health is preferred. A PhD in clinical psychology and an APA-approved internship are required. This is a full-time position and the faculty appointment will be on the non-tenure-eligible Clinical-Educator track at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Start date negotiable and to begin with receipt of Illinois licensure and obtaining hospital privileges.
