The School of Psychological Science invites applications for one or more fixed-term, non-tenure track full/part time Instructor positions to teach on a term-by-term basis for the 2020-2021 academic year. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Director.
Instructors may be needed to teach at the Corvallis campus, fully online through eCampus, and/or hybrid eCampus courses in Portland. Opportunities may develop for summer teaching.
As part of the College of Liberal Arts, the School of Psychological Science provides psychological expertise to the university and to the state of Oregon. We do this by engaging in cutting-edge research and by training undergraduate and graduate students in the science of psychology. With more than 800 majors, Psychology is one of the largest undergraduate majors at OSU. The School offers BA and BS degrees, a minor, and a PhD degree.
The faculty includes 14 tenure-track members and 15 instructors with areas of specialization that include Psychobiology, Cognitive Psychology, Health Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Engineering Psychology, and Clinical Psychology.

Typically requires Master’s degree in discipline appropriate to the field of teaching/instructional tasks.
M.S. or M.A. in Psychology.
Evidence of excellence in teaching or the potential for excellence in teaching a wide variety of Psychology courses, including large lecture classes, writing intensive classes, Clinical Psychology, Research Methods, Statistics, Human Life Span Development, Personality, or Introductory Psychology.
Teaching experience at the college/university level.
