The Department of Radiation Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking a board certified medical physicist for its satellite clinic in Astoria on the beautiful Oregon coast.
The Medical Physicist shall provide services in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of patient care, teaching, resesarch, outreach and public service. Under the general supervision of the Interim Chief of Medical Physics, the appointee will provide technical expertise to the satellite clinic at Astoria. The appointee will work in a coordinated effort with the physics team to develop the clinical, educational, and research objectives of the department.
Facility and Equipment:
The physics team provides medical physics services to OHSU and its four off-campus sites. The satellite clinic in Astoria is equipped with an Elekta Versa HD. Treatment planning systems include Pinnacle and Monaco along with Mosaiq as R&V system.
Master of Science (PhD preferred) or equivalent degree in medical physics, radiological physics, or related field
Strong clinical background with completion of a residency program in clinical medical physics OR two years of post-graduation experience
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with a team
Certification in therapeutic radiological physics by the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physics
Must have the ability to travel to Marquam Hill in Portland as occasional travel is expected.
