OHSU Family Medicine is part of the OHSU School of Medicine. OHSU Family Medicine is focused on family health providing preventive, primary and specialty care for all ages.We provide all that family medicine has to offer - from maternity care through geriatrics. Our clinics are home to more than 120,000 patients every year, but despite the large number, our physicians, nurses and other clinic staff know their patients - and their families - by name. The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the universitys missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. Responsibilities include:
May have of a combination of direct patient care with embedded supervision of other learners at any of the OHSU Family Medicine Clinics (Gabriel Park, Richmond, Richmond Walk-In, Benson School Based Health Center, Scappoose, South Waterfront, Beaverton, Orenco Station, and Cascades East). Preference will be given to individuals with greater weekend and evening availability in the clinics.
Will be available for weekend and holiday coverage for patient care.
Faculty physicians may attend on the Family Medicine Inpatient Service (inpatient medicine/pediatric service or FMIS D) and Tuality Inpatient service.
The faculty member will be expected to have a strong commitment to developing the family medicine practice into a vibrant, successful clinical and academic operation.
The faculty member will have the opportunity to participate in continuing education, professional and faculty development, and scholarship as directed by the Department of Family Medicine.
M.D./D.O. degree as well as graduate medical education in an ACGME accredited Family Medicine residency
Board certification or board eligibility
Capable of providing comprehensive health services and be certified to prescribe
Approved staff privileges at OHSU University Hospital and specific community hospitals for MD/DO
Inpatient (medicine/pediatric) service and obstetrical care
