Applications are invited for an exciting opportunity to join the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, with subspecialty focus on blood and marrow transplantation and/or cellular therapy. Successful candidates will receive an appointment within the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology. Faculty applicants will be eligible for senior faculty positions, based on external funding and publications, commensurate with experience, as determined by the OHSU School of Medicine. Clinical and/or laboratory-based investigators are both encouraged to apply.

The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the universitys missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service, and will be a member of the Center for Hematologic Malignancies.
Daily clinical management of inpatient bone marrow/hematologic malignancy patients with an emphasis clinical management of allogeneic and autologus transplant patients
Shared responsibility for on-call coverage
Case conferencing with multi-disciplinary teams
Coordination of teaching rounds with Fellows and House-staff assigned to the inpatient or outpatient service
Recruitment of patients
Fostering collaborative relationships with referring physicians and organizations
Medical direction to CHM Data Managers and Nurse Coordinators experience and expertise in the establishment and maintenance of comprehensive CHM databases
Development and participation in clinical trials
Participation in the education of medical students and house staff in accordance with assignments to the department by the Curriculum Committee and Chair
MD or MD/PhD
Licensed to practice medicine in Oregon
Board certified in Internal Medicine
Board eligible/certified in Hematology and or/Medical Oncology
Demonstrates the background, focus and drive to excel, as well as the desire to deliver the best care possible to cancer patient in a clinical research environment
Proven track record of teaching, basic, clinical or population research and excellent patient care
Proven success in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
History of success in obtaining extramural funds for clinical trials and/or basic science research
