Lewis & Clark College Graduate School of Education and Counseling invites applications for one position of Clinical Adjunct Faculty (Practicum Supervisor) for the Secondary Social Studies MAT program to begin immediately and continue until June 2020. This position will be supervision for social studies teacher candidates working in secondary classrooms.
What You'll Do
Provide support for each SS teacher candidate’s practicum teaching.
Complete at least six practicum classroom observations at each SS teacher candidate’s practicum site.
Provide a brief written report for each observation.
Conduct two triad meetings with each SS candidate and practicum site mentor (one in March and one in late May or early June).
Check in with the mentor teacher during or after each classroom observation to determine how the teacher candidate is doing.
Complete a formative and summative evaluation of each SS candidate using the Teacher Candidate Assessment.
Writing a letter of recommendation for each SS candidate.
Participate in professional development meetings over the academic year (currently these meetings are scheduled for November, January, and March).
Five or more years of secondary teaching experience in social studies
Hold or be eligible for an Oregon Teaching License with an endorsement in social studies

The job works primarily at a desk or is otherwise involved in activities requiring little lifting, climbing or working in tiring positions
