The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department is seeking outstanding candidates for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level who can effectively teach and mentor a diverse student body and develop a robust research program. This faculty member would be expected to work closely with other members of the ECE Department and Maseeh College on interdisciplinary research focused on environmental sensing and monitoring. Research areas that would support this effort include one or more of the following: acoustic and electromagnetic remote sensing, signal processing, machine learning, controls, autonomous systems (e.g., underwater vehicles). An emphasis will be placed on the candidate's research originality, future potential and ability to collaborate. Applicants should have research agendas that are internationally recognized, regionally relevant and complement our existing research programs. Senior candidates, particularly at the Associate level, should also have a record of sponsored research.
Applicants are expected to hold or be near completion of a PhD degree in above areas or other relevant field. Non PhD candidates will be required to have completed the PhD by their start date.
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; prior teaching experience at a college level or higher.
