Position primarily assists in conducting EEGs and analyzing EEG data for studies conducted at the Early Emotional Development Program. Performs a variety of research, database and clerical duties of a routine and technical nature in support of clinical research to ensure adherence to protocols and quality of information received.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts EEG recordings on preschool and school-aged children. Guides parents and participants through the process by providing thorough instructions and responding appropriately to subject concerns.
Reviews and analyzes EEG data from a variety of research studies.
Communicates and coordinates with other study personnel as required to ensure accurate and timely data entry and data management.
Attends routine meetings and other meetings related to the clinical research; stays abreast of information and any changes to study protocol.
Assists with general management and maintenance of EEG systems.
Trains new hires and additional staff on EEG recording administration.
High school diploma plus 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in medical environment; some college may substitute for experience
Previous experience with EEG recordings and with analyzing EEG data.
Basic knowledge of BrainVision.
Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
Good working knowledge of general office software such as Excel and Microsoft Word.
Confidence in working with and troubleshooting technological equipment and software in general.
Comfortable around young children and their parents.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
The hiring range for this position is $15.85 - $19.43 per hour.
