Position Summary: Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, the Client Relationship Manager for the Office of the Chief Investment Officer represents the products of UC Investments to our key stakeholders including the Office of the Regents, Campus Chief Financial Officers, investment staff of our 10 Campus Foundations and the Academic Senate among others. Maintains strong relationships with our stakeholders through clear and proactive communication including ad hoc and quarterly in person meetings, annual investment foundation events and becoming the center for handling all client inquiries.
The Client Relationship Manager must maintain a strong understanding of all product objectives, asset allocation, historical and current positioning as well as overall performance drivers both on an absolute and relative basis as well as a working knowledge of individual asset class strategies, positioning and performance drivers both on an absolute and relative basis. Using this knowledge, the Client Relationship Manager oversees the creation, project and ongoing management of new products addressing the evolving needs of our stakeholders. Oversees the development of internal and external reporting and presentation materials key to building and maintaining our stakeholder relationships. Coordinates the collection, organization, and management of complex investment-related data and information used in reporting materials such as quarterly client reports, quarterly investment performance summary and asset class reports, the Annual Endowment Report and more.

Serves as an expert on complex products, services, investments, with a motivation to become a trusted resource for our client's needs primarily with all UC Foundations and campuses.
Identifies content, directs creation, and coordinates externally-facing presentation materials (e.g. quarterly product updates, fact sheets, investment commentaries, product and asset class commentary).
Drives product objective implementation through collaboration with product heads and contribute to Investment Committee meetings.
Schedules, prepares for and leads stakeholder meetings including but not limited to quarterly updates with Campus Foundation, Campus CFOs and Regents.
Presents complex investment data to audiences with varying levels of investment expertise.
Works with a variety of internal and external partners to organize annual partnership events including campus foundations and strategic partnership off-site meetings.
Fields, responds to, and accommodates all internal/external clients and their consultants or auditors and other ad hoc requests regarding performance, distributions, wires etc.
Conducts research to identify developments in client relation and technology areas such as new reporting tools to improve content.
Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
Expert working knowledge of client relationship management, product management and content management.
Understanding of performance measurement, attribution and risk measurement.
Familiar with portfolio construction,asset classes, risk factors and data structure.
Expert written and interpersonal communication skills, including political acumen, to establish and maintain good working relationships throughout the organization and with outside constituencies.
Expert skills in making persuasive and compelling presentations to build strong relationships with our stakeholders.
Expert organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
Expert project / program management skills, including skills in setting and meeting program / project goals and objectives within budget and time constraints.
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Expert knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, etc. Required
CFA and/or MBA
Technical experience with Python, Bloomberg, and/or databases) a plus.
Expert knowledge of the CIO, including current issues of concern for both the campus and / or throughout higher education / healthcare, generally.
