The Senior Research Assistant will assist in the day-to-day running of the facilities, general lab maintenance, sample preparation and evaluation, one to one user training on sample preparation data acquisition and microscope alignments, train new lab members, set up large-data set acquisition for single particle studies, tomography acquisition, and managing the recharge mechanism, scheduling, and facilities infrastructure for the instruments.
The candidate will be expected to help maintain a smooth and efficient working environment by providing services to internal and external users and assisting with training and support. This includes troubleshooting sample preparations and helping with long semi-automated data collection runs. The candidate will have the opportunity to adapt home designed software for real-time data processing and visualization.
