As a faculty member in the in the Pape Research Institute in the Department of Pediatrics, the appointee will report to the institute director and the department chair interacting regularly with department faculty and collaborators across campus.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Research: Establish and develop a vigorous nationally and internationally recognized research program in basic or translational aspects of pediatric digestive diseases and gut health. consistent with the department\u2019s research mission. Collaborative and interdisciplinary projects with other departments and institutions are strongly encouraged.
2. Education: OHSU is a teaching facility and faculty teach medical students and residents in the clinical setting as well as PhD students through assigned lectures. Other educational duties will include mentoring trainees and students.
3. Service: Administrative and other service duties will be assigned based on department needs and faculty expertise and interest. There will be opportunities to participate on departmental committees and serve on institutional committees.
