The Accreditation Director will provide leadership in developing and monitoring our assessment system for teacher education candidates through faculty and student collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Be an active, supportive and engaged member of the Dean's leadership team; Communicate with stakeholders and leadership effectively; Contribute to the vision of the School of Education; Lead the creation of an assessment system that meets and exceeds all CAEP and North Carolina requirements for both undergraduate and graduate programs; Work in collaboration with technology coordinator to implement Taskstream as the digital repository for our assessments; Collaborate with faculty to determine outcomes, assessment tools and practices appropriate for teacher education programs; provide expertise, guidance, and support to faculty, staff, and programs to plan, implement, and use assessment to improve programs, Collaborate with other departments on campus, specifically Institutional Research, Alumni Office and Admissions (for data); Implement assessment system throughout the year, including data management, analysis and reporting of data, and facilitating data-informed program changes to ensure program effectiveness and continued accreditation; Monitor changing accreditation standards and state requirements and remain current within the field of education, assessment and evaluation, research methodologies, and the expectations of accrediting bodies. Identify and support innovations, specifically related to digital learning and determine a research plan to track these innovations;Teach up to 2 classes a year in related areas; Create and contribute to all required reports including CAEP, DPI, SACS, etc. All other duties as assigned.
