This Temporary Trades Maintenance Coordinator position coordinates projects and/or coordinates and oversees skilled/journey-level tradespeople and manual/semiskilled workers in the maintenance and repair of university buildings, equipment, and grounds and construction of structures.
They will also perform skilled journey-level work in the fabrication, maintenance and repair of machinery and building systems operation. Duties may include but are not limited to:
General repair/maintenance of supply fans, HVAC, mechanical building systems and refrigeration systems.
Maintain and repair pool and kitchen equipment within the hotel.
Ensure that building users receive excellent customer service for their events and activities in University Place Hotel.
Additionally this position will:
Train and supervise student employees.
Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS.)
Monitor and respond to work requests delivered via smart phone and email.
This position is considered “essential personnel” and is required to respond during inclement weather event and campus emergencies.
The full-time temporary position is expected to be for six months from the start date. The work schedule is expected to be 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday – Friday.
Excellent customer service skills and sensitivity to student schedules.
Ability to perform in a stressful, fast-paced environment..
Ability to work weekends and respond to after hours emergencies. Such work is expected to be occasional.
Valid State issued driver's license.
Successful completion of a background check.
Skills in computer technology and database management;
Ability to write clearly and precisely.
Maintenance experience in a hotel or university setting.
