Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Director is responsible for the general oversight and preparation of the department’s six program budgets (Food Services, Bookstore, Parking, Camps and Conferences, AppCard, and Post Office) totaling approximately $40,000,000. In addition, they will provide guidance and direction to departmental directors in the area of budget planning and reporting. The Senior Director also prepares monthly profit and loss analysis reports; and conducts overall auditing responsibility in Auxiliary Services to ensure compliance with state guidelines and accounting principles. Finally, the Senior Director will make recommendations as necessary for revenue enhancement or cost savings.
In addition, the position has general responsibility for the department’s IT systems infrastructure. These systems include CBord, AIMS Parking Management Software, Ratex bookstore management software, SC Logic package management, Point of Sale systems, as well as many other support systems. The position will ensure training is in place for staff, business process are documented, and data from the systems is utilized for decision making.
The position will directly supervise AppCard, Auxiliary Accounting, and Auxiliary Administration. It will also provide leadership in the absence of the Associate Vice Chancellor.
