The College of Engineering at Iowa State University seeks qualified applicants for a Manager Facilities Services to manage facilities and day to day operations in the Student Innovation Center.
The Manager of Facilities Services will be responsible for overseeing the teaching and research laboratories, supervising staff and students and general management of the facilities. This position will work closely with the center's Director to implements strategies, safety procedures and training. Additionally, this position will provide customer service to students, staff, leadership and donors.
The successful candidate will have effective management and organizational skills, the ability to work well with a diverse population, and the ability to communicate effectively. All staff members are expected to interact collegially and maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience with laboratory safety standards, training, teaching and operation.
Experience with laboratory, budget and project management.
Experience that demonstrates strong supervisory, leadership and organizational skills.
Experience in collaborative roles with diverse individuals both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience working with data collection, management, analysis, and reporting.
Experience identifying cause of errors, then creating and implementing solutions.
