Lindenwood University invites applications for a full-time position as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Theatre & Division Director (12 Months) in the School of Arts, Media and Communications, effective August 2019.
In collaboration with the dean and other school administrators, this position is responsible for establishing goals and direction for the division as well as providing leadership for all faculty and staff in the division.
Preference will be given to candidates with an active equity card, professional experience, and specialized expertise, such as stage combat, stage movement, intimacy coaching, stage voice, acting for camera, and/or related areas.
Required Qualifications – Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.)
Terminal degree (MFA or Ph.D.)
At least three years of experience in leading academic programs
At least five years of experience in professional and/or educational theatre productions.
Successful professional directing and/or acting experience; formal advanced training in direction and/or acting.
At least three years of effective teaching experience (as documented by student evaluations) at the undergraduate level.
