The Division of Social Sciences, program of Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) at Southern Oregon University (SOU) is seeking candidates for a full-time, nine month, tenure-track, Assistant Professor. The CMHC program is CACREP accredited. Teaching responsibilities include graduate courses in Individual Practicum, Group Practicum, and Internship, the eight core counseling areas and an area of your expertise, and may include online courses. Other responsibilities include advising, curriculum development, research, maintain clinical licensure and professional affiliations as appropriate, and other responsibilities as assigned. The salary range s $56,510-$59,969 for a nine-month appointment. We offer excellent comprehensive health and retirement benefits. The start date is September 2019 and the position will be open until filled. Ph. D. from a CACREP accredited Counselor Education program
More than one year of teaching in higher education teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduate and/or graduate students.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching and supervising counseling graduate students, including students from diverse backgrounds.
