The Graduate School is seeking a Director of Financial Support. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Vice Provost & Dean.
The Director of Financial Support is responsible for the detailed tracking and reporting of graduate student financial support, communicating graduate student financial support information to stakeholders, and leading in the development of new funding strategies (with special emphasis on the recruitment and retention of high quality students and under-represented minorities). This position works closely with the Research Office and other university offices to ensure compliance with university policy and funding mechanism rules and regulations.
These responsibilities are carried out in collaboration with the Graduate School leadership.
Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or related field. 5 years' experience in budget development and analysis.
Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Public Administration (MPA), or a related field, or significant professional experience in assigned functional area(s), or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of three years of experience in student financial support, academic program administration, or closely related experience
Demonstrated successful project management and leadership experience
Demonstrated experience using highly structured data management tracking systems
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate with professionals of different disciplines and perspectives
Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills including the ability to deliver public presentations, write formal reports, and communicate via the web through postings and updates
Demonstrated understanding of the academic enterprise
Demonstrated ability to engage in professional activities requiring a high level of detail and accuracy
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in teams
Demonstrated ability to engage in practices that support and promote diversity, equality and inclusion.
Competence with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq.
