This position exists within the OSH Junction City facility to provide overall clinical and administrative direction to all clinical department staff in this facility, except the staff of the Nursing Department, which is led by the Chief Nursing Officer. The clinical departments supervised by this position include Psychiatry, Medicine, Psychology, Social Work, Treatment Malls, Rehabilitation, Treatment Care Plan Specialists and Peer Recovery Specialists (herafter called the Junction City CMO Departments). While providing overall clinical and administrative direction to these departments, this position reports administratively to the Deputy Superintendent and is directly responsible for administrative actions, such as hiring, directing work, and progressive discipline for positions under it. This position reports clinically to the Chief Medical Officer, and positions under it function clinically in close collaboration with the Clinical Discipline Chiefs located at the OSH Salem facility. The Deputy Chief Medical Officer will provide leadership in the areas of clinical, administrative, fiscal management and cultural competency and diversity.
